For information on any of the following remote configuration parameters,
click on the underlined parameter name. (The list is presented in
alphabetical order.)
All of these parameters may not appear in your
/opt/hpxt/enware2/xthome
/config/
terminalname.cfg
file. Your
terminalname.cfg
file is created based upon which extensions and
drivers are loaded on your system. For a complete list of the remote
configuration parameters and more information, refer to the
/opt/hpxt/enware2/xthome
/config/sample.cfg
file.
If a parameter includes the variable (n), the
value of n must be the same for any corresponding devices. For example,
if you connect to serial port (1), you must select PPP (1).

connection is declared dead.
- Valid Values:
- 1 - 20000
- Default:
- 8
- Purpose:
- Controls the number of seconds that the network stack
will allow a TCP connection, which has TCP keepalives enabled, to be
idle before it sends a probe.
- Valid Values:
- 2 - 2147483647

For HP-UX 10.x systems, this is unnecessary.
For HP-UX 9.x systems, we recommend that you apply the patch that makes
this unnecessary.
If you enable this parameter, each keepalive probe includes the last byte
of the previously sent data.
If this data was already correctly received by the remote end,
it will not be passed to the application again.
Sending data in keepalive probes is non-standard and not recommended.
